Does your child struggle to read and write?

It’s hard for parents to watch their child struggling.

Does he work hard yet continue to fall behind?

You see the frustration and sadness as he wonders why he can’t catch up.

Is she losing the joy she once found in school?

It makes sense that she avoids discussions about school, and you worry she will lose all confidence in her ability to learn.

If so, your child isn’t alone.

Did you know that 1 out of 5 students struggles to learn how to read and/or write?!

That may sound surprising, but it’s true, according to the latest research. Learning challenges are so common, especially with complex literacy skills like reading and writing.

Here's the GOOD NEWS!

The research shows that with the right instruction, delivered for the necessary amount of time, all students can make great strides in their reading and writing.

Skeptical of Online Tutoring? .....

I understand. Memories of online instruction during the pandemic have clouded the online instruction space, and while online instruction is not a match for every student, it is so much different than what took place during the pandemic.

The truth is....
There are many benefits to online instruction. >

1. Engaging and fun!

The instruction I provide online looks and feels very much like the instruction I provide in person.  With quality technology and equipment, our interaction and communication during the lesson is engaging and fun!

2. More professionals available to YOU!

It eliminates the barriers of finding a qualified professional within a reasonable distance and the need for you to travel there.

3. More convenient for your schedule.

By eliminating the need for me to travel to various locations, I have more time slots available for teaching. This provides more options to parents looking for convenient, affordable instruction for their child.

4. Less hassle for parents.

Your child can participate in the comfort of your own home and you can remain at home and available for the family.

My #1 goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of the students I teach.

Here is some feedback I've received from those who have worked with me.

Beth, a dedicated Secondary Special Education Teacher Specialist, has been instrumental in advancing reading interventions across both middle and high school levels. She expertly coordinated the implementation of these programs, managed staff training initiatives, and consistently provided one-on-one support for students requiring intensive interventions. Beth is Orton Gillingham Plus trained. She brought her reading specialist expertise to implement this structured literacy approach, supporting both instructional delivery and the administration of assessments aligned with the program. In addition to her work at the secondary level, Beth supported her elementary counterparts by aiding in collecting and analyzing intervention data countywide, ensuring consistency and accuracy in documentation at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. She also played a pivotal role in administering and analyzing reading assessments, ensuring that data was effectively used to guide instructional decisions and communicate progress with students, families, and school teams. Her proactive and student-centered approach made her an invaluable resource for educators and learners.
